A new coach is being sought and there are to be significant changes to the squad – FC Bayern is currently undergoing a lot of upheaval. Former FCB striker Miroslav Klose is worried about this.

Miroslav Klose is worried about the upcoming upheaval at FC Bayern. The former Munich attacker said in an interview with t-online: „You hear and read a lot that changes are going to happen throughout the club. There will be a new coach, and the team will also be reorganised. I’m a bit scared of that.“

When asked what exactly he was afraid of, the 45-year-old replied: „That it won’t happen bit by bit, but that there will be a total upheaval and the identity could be lost a little as a result.“

Klose continued: „But that’s just my impression as an outsider. As such, you get the feeling that there’s something in your stomach.“

Klose: „Xabi Alonso is leading the way at Leverkusen“

The 2014 world champion played for FC Bayern from 2007 to 2011. He scored 24 goals in 98 competitive matches for the Munich club.

Klose, who is a coach himself and most recently managed SCR Altach in Austria, also spoke about the search for a coach at FC Bayern. A successor to Thomas Tuchel must be found in Munich for the coming season.

Klose is in favour of giving the new man time to build something at the German record champions: „He will need one thing above all: Time. It can’t all work in a fortnight when so many adjustments are being made.“

Bayern’s top candidate is apparently Xabi Alonso from Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Klose said of him: „Xabi Alonso is leading the way in Leverkusen. He would be a stroke of luck if Bayern were to get him. But he must also be given the time to pass on his ideas to the players.“
