With Hasan Salihamidzic’s job being in danger due to several factors, Uli Hoeness and Herbert Hainer have recently come to his defense. According to them, it is incomprehensible why he is under criticism.

The Bosnian joined the club in the summer of 2017 and since then he has been having a series of great and bad transfers at the same time. Over the years, he has been criticized for his poor public standing, communication, and strategic and communicative skills, leading to several failed transfers.

Most recently, ‚Brazzo‘ has been under heavy criticism following the departure of Hansi Flick to the German national team in April 2021. A lot of petitions took place to remove the Bosnian from his position. A year after the event, a lot has still happened and nothing has changed; Salihamidzic is still under extreme criticism and pressure.

In an interview with Munich’s local newspaper ‚Tageszeitung‘, president Herbert Hainer claims to not understand the criticism and the boos towards Brazzo. On a Saturday party night where 1000 Bayern fans were present for the title celebration, a quarter of the fans whistled at the Bosnian.

„I can’t understand it when we win 10 titles in a row or a treble, it’s thanks to coaches & players – and when we lose, it’s because of Hasan Salihamidžić?“, said Hainer surprisingly, and continues: „I can’t accept that. Most of the players who won the treble in 2020 were also signed by Hasan. He was also in charge back then and was as close to the team as he is now.“

According to SportBild, the board is now skeptical of Salihamidzic’s position. There have been no talks about a contract extension and the Bosnian’s figure within the players‘ dressing room is not received well.
