Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller tested positive for Covid-19 while in Qatar for the Club World Cup. He missed the final and is now back in Germany and he took to social media to thank his fans for all their support.
Muller posted a short video and said:
“Hello people, these last few days were very turbulent. I wanted to thank you sincerely for the well-wishes, for the support, that I have received. Thank you very much for that. I am doing fine so far.”
Speaking to Bild, Bayern boss Hansi Flick stated that he keeps Muller included when it comes to any discussions and team meetings while he serves his quarantine period.

“I can hardly imagine Thomas Müller in quarantine or isolation. He is a guy that really likes a lot of interaction. This morning [Sunday] we had a team meeting and I brought him with on FaceTime so that he knows what is going on here. He is a very important player for us. We hope that he comes back to full strength and that he will be available as soon as possible.”
Muller is going to have to be in isolation for a minimum of 10 days but according to DFL and the rules they have in place, Muller will need to stay isolated for 14 days after he first felt symptoms.
So there is a real chance Bayern will be without Muller for matches against Arminia Bielefeld and Eintracht Frankfurt as well as his sides Champions League tie with Italian side Lazio.
