Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly turned down the Player of the Year award in favour of Robert Lewandowski at the Global Soccer Awards on Sunday.
Juventus star Ronaldo was reportedly set to pick the award in Dubai at the ceremony after being voted by fans as 2020’s top performer.
But according to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes opted not to accept the award, and were in favour of handing it to Bayern Munich hitman Lewandowski.
