President of FC Bayern Herbert Hainer was also interviewed after the dramatic draw against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
The main topic was once again Julian Nagelsmann and the thoughts about his recent results in the club which Hainer commented:
„Julian is a young, creative and innovative coach who has a great career ahead of him. He now has a different caliber with FC Bayern than with Leipzig and Hoffenheim.
The 68-year-old was also asked if Nagelsmann is still safe regarding his future:
“ That’s why we gave him a five-year contract to build something at Bayern. He’s a very reflective and intelligent man. Yesterday we watched back a few scenes (from the Dortmund game) on the computer and he sees exactly what needs to be done.“
Hainer also said that the whole board is in constant discussion about the coach and everything that is going on, but no one is still not worried about him and his situation:
„We talk a lot with Julian, especially Oliver Kahn and Hasan. I have my office next door and see how often Julian is there. Of course, he also gets advice from experienced players and former professionals. But he knows exactly where he wants to go and sets the direction“ said Bayern president.
Herbert Hainer is well known for his positive statements about Julian Nagelsmann, mostly known for saying that Bayern is playing better and more beautiful under Nagelsmann than under Hansi Flick which was not liked by most of the fanbase.
It is good to see that coach has his back covered by the bosses, but once when their patience ends, it is not going to look good for the 35-year-old Bavarian native if the results and gameplan don’t change.
