Konrad Laimer is currently enjoying a season at FC Bayern that continues to reach new heights. The Austrian scored another highlight in the 5-0 win over VfB Stuttgart – and this time it was one that delighted fans and the coaching team alike. The right-back opened the Munich gala with a spectacular chipped goal and went on to earn several new nicknames
It was clear that Konrad Laimer would enjoy his goal against Stuttgart, but even die-hard Bayern fans were surprised by how spectacular his strike was. In the eleventh minute, the 28-year-old converted with a back-heel after a perfect interplay with Michael Olise – and through the legs of Bayern loanee Alexander Nübel. A moment that went viral within seconds.
The FCB fans quickly dubbed the right-back „Laimerinho“, a tongue-in-cheek homage to Brazilian ball artists. But that wasn’t all: assistant coach Rene Maric also presented his own suggestions on X after posting the goal video. „I’m not sure whether ‚Zidane of the Alps‘ or ‚Laimer Yamal‘,“ wrote the 33-year-old, showing how much the goal also electrified the coaching team.

Laimer not only shines in the game against Stuttgart
However, the spectacular moment is just the latest chapter in a season in which Laimer has developed into one of the record champions‘ most important players. On the right flank, he harmonizes excellently with Michael Olise, is courageous offensively and reliable defensively – and shows a physical presence that makes him difficult for opponents to predict.
His pace, his aggression in tackles and his versatility make him almost indispensable for Vincent Kompany. The statistics underline his value: with five scoring points in 13 Bundesliga appearances, the Austrian international is having one of his strongest seasons ever.
A key player who is becoming increasingly important
Laimer has long since developed out of the role of a tactical rotational player in Munich and is now one of the team’s absolute mainstays. His reliability, dynamism and willingness to give his all in every position make him a central component in Kompany’s system.
