Harry Kane has commented on the latest speculation surrounding a possible move to Spain, with the FC Bayern goalscorer taking a clear stance.
Reports have recently been circulating in Spain that FC Barcelona have set their sights on the Englishman as Robert Lewandowski’s successor. Mundo Deportivo had even said that Kane was the Catalans‘ preferred option internally. However, the attacker himself is unimpressed by the rumours.
„I haven’t been in contact with anyone, no one has contacted me. I feel very comfortable in the current situation, even if we haven’t spoken to Bayern about my situation yet,“ Kane told Bild.
Concrete negotiations about an early extension to his contract, which runs until 2027, have not yet begun, but Kane remains relaxed. „There’s no rush. I’m really happy in Munich. You can see that in the way I’m playing. If there is contact, then we’ll see. But I’m not thinking about the new season yet. First there’s a World Cup in the summer. And it’s very unlikely that anything will change after this season,“ said the 32-year-old.
With regard to his sporting future, the goalscorer is open to talks with the club: „I’m sure I’ll have talks with Bayern in the next few months, then we’ll see what’s best for the future.“
Signs clearly point to Bayern extension

Prior to Kane’s statement, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had already reported that the international was „fully focused on Bayern and very happy at the club“. Before there could even be any consideration of a move, talks would first have to be held with FC Bayern. Only then would it be conceivable to look at other options – such as Barcelona.
Sky also recently reported on the desire within the club to extend the attacker’s contract early until 2028. According to the report, Kane is open to an extension, even if there is currently no concrete time pressure.
Meanwhile, president Herbert Hainer emphasized how comfortable the attacking star feels in Munich: „When I speak to him, as I did on Saturday after the game, he is incredibly happy, he is very, very satisfied. I also hear from his family that they feel very, very comfortable. So I don’t see why there would be any reason for him to leave FC Bayern.“
Hainer is certain: „We will talk. He will make it dependent on what his plans are for the future. But I am firmly convinced that FC Bayern also has a very, very good chance.“
