Lennart Karl has now firmly established himself in FC Bayern’s professional squad. The 18-year-old benefits not only from working with coach Vincent Kompany but also from his teammates. Michael Olise, in particular, has made a big impression on the talented young forward. In an interview with DAZN, Karl raved about the Frenchman’s extraordinary skills and revealed which Bayern stars he gets along with particularly well.
The youngster made it clear that he picks up a lot from Olise during training. “That’s obviously something very special for me. I learn a lot from him in training. I’m always watching what he does,” Karl explained.
The 24-year-old is one of the German record champions’ top performers and, with his technical skills and creativity, is a key part of Bayern’s offense.

The 18-year-old first emphasized that he certainly has his own skills that set him apart from Olise. “Of course, I have my own strengths—things he isn’t as good at as I am—but he’s just a master of everything,” explained the Bayern youngster.
Karl then went on to gush about him. “Most of his skills are truly outstanding—the way he moves and things like that. That’s really world-class.”
For Karl, training daily with a player like Olise offers an ideal opportunity to develop further and improve his own offensive game.
Bischof and Pavlovic are his closest mentors
In addition to his athletic role models, personal relationships within the team also play an important role for Karl.
He has a particularly close relationship with Tom Bischof and Aleksandar Pavlovic. The two midfielders are also part of the younger generation on the Bayern roster. “We’re in constant contact, both on and off the field,” Karl revealed.
Spending time with his teammates clearly helps the 18-year-old find his footing in everyday professional life. “It’s really important and great to work with these guys; they’re top-tier players, and luckily they’re the youngest on the team—otherwise, there are only older players. It’s really fun with the two of them.”
