The 47-year-old has led his team to a strong start to the season. After four Bundesliga matches, FCA was surprisingly sitting in fourth place in the standings. Baum has played a decisive role in this.
The coach not only relies on tactical changes—such as a double-ten formation—but also works intensively on defensive behavior and repeatedly employs unconventional psychological methods.
Baum is already planning for the Bayern match
Before the cup match in Cottbus, Baum had the opposing fans’ chants played over the loudspeakers, among other things, to prepare his team for the atmosphere.
