Michael Olise made his mark on the Bundesliga last season. Now, the FC Bayern attacking star is receiving a special honor for his performance: Sofascore has named the Frenchman the best Bundesliga player of the 2025–26 season.
This decision is based on the 24-year-old’s outstanding performance statistics. Olise played in 32 Bundesliga matches and racked up an impressive 34 direct goal contributions. In addition to scoring 15 goals himself, he set up 19 more.
Sofascore rated his performances at an average of 7.87. This gave Olise the highest rating of the Bundesliga season and secured him the Player of the Season award.

Olise also proved efficient in front of goal. He scored his 15 Bundesliga goals with an expected goals (xG) value of 11.46. His 19 assists also exceeded the expected assists (xA) value of 17.23.
As a result, the winger has already delivered top-tier numbers in just his second season with the German record champions.
Olise is simply picking up where he left off in the new season
Particularly impressive from Bayern’s perspective: Following his outstanding previous season, Olise appears to have taken another step forward.
In the 7-0 win over Union Berlin, the French international scored his first hat trick in club soccer. He also set up a goal and drew a penalty kick.
After seven competitive matches this season, Olise already has 11 points to his name. He has been named the best player of the match four times.
