Contract negotiations between Harry Kane and FC Bayern are apparently becoming more concrete. Following the 5-0 victory over Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League, the 33-year-old confirmed that both sides have recently held further talks. At the same time, Kane mentioned a possible timeframe for reaching an agreement for the first time.
“We had talks a few weeks ago and more this week. As I’ve said before, a contract doesn’t come together overnight—it takes time to digest everything and figure out how we can find the best possible solution for everyone involved.”
The English national team player therefore does not expect to sign a contract in the immediate days ahead. However, the contract negotiations cannot drag on much longer either.
“I don’t expect it to be finalized in the next week or two, but hopefully we’ll be where we want to be in the next month or two,” Kane explained.
Kane feels at home at FC Bayern
These statements are likely to be received quite positively by Bayern’s management. Kane’s current contract in Munich runs through the summer of 2027. Extending the striker’s contract is one of the record champions’ top personnel priorities.
The striker himself has emphasized on several occasions in the past that he feels at home in Munich. That clearly hasn’t changed.
“Right now, I feel comfortable. All I want to do—and all the club expects of me—is to focus on the field, score goals, and help the team. I’m completely at ease.”
Kane, however, did not want to discuss the specific details of the negotiations. This leaves it unclear for now what terms and conditions both sides are discussing.
The Bayern star asked for understanding in this regard: “It’s hard for me to talk to you about this, since these are confidential matters. I’m sure that, in due time, you’ll learn the details and get the answers you’re looking for.”

What matters most is Kane’s assessment of how the negotiations have gone so far. The striker gave no indication whatsoever that there are any major issues between him and the club.
“All I can say right now is that the talks are going well. We’ll see what happens.”
An agreement has not yet been reached. However, recent statements indicate that talks between Kane and FC Bayern are already underway and have even intensified recently.
On the field, the Englishman remains a key figure in Vincent Kompany’s team. Kane also found the back of the net again in the decisive Champions League victory over Bodø/Glimt.
Now, an important decision could also be made off the field in the coming weeks. Kane himself has specified a clear timeframe for this: If everything goes as planned, both sides could be “where we want to be” within the next one to two months.
