FC Bayern won the Telekom Cup against RB Leipzig over the weekend. Immediately following that, preparations are now underway for the Super Cup against Borussia Dortmund, which will be played on Saturday.
It will be a short training week, as the team will play a friendly against Heidenheim on Tuesday to give the many players who joined training late some playing time.
But first, the focus is on an event taking place today, Monday, to kick off the training week.
The record champions’ campus on Ingolstädter Straße is hosting the “Allianz FC Bayern Team Day.” One highlight: Starting at 2 p.m., there will be a public training session with the pros.
Bayern Event to Kick Off the New Week
Finally joining the squad are Dayot Upamecano, Harry Kane, and Michael Olise, who were granted special leave following the World Cup. They are expected to be at 100% of their potential by the start of the Bundesliga season.
The training session isn’t the only part of the program. The FC Bayern women’s team will also be there. Both squads will be introduced to the fans in detail during a team presentation as part of this event. Fans will also have the opportunity to get autographs from the stars or take selfies.
So Bayern is definitely showing its fan-friendly side. And there are other elements designed to ensure a successful day. Interactive challenges are planned, in which teams made up of Kompany’s pros, fans, the women’s team players, and content creators will compete against each other for a good cause.
The event is already sold out and will be held on the campus partly because some renovation work is currently underway on Säbener Straße. The FC Bayern Campus will open at 1:00 p.m. that day, with around 2,000 fans in attendance.
