FC Bayern wants to secure Michael Olise’s long-term commitment to the club. Although the star forward’s contract runs through 2029, the Munich-based club is considering an early extension. Financially, this could take the Frenchman to new heights.
Michael Olise has quickly become one of the most important players for the German record champions. Consequently, Bayern is very interested in keeping the 24-year-old in Munich for the long term.
According to BILD, Olise currently earns around 13.5 million euros per year. As reported by tz, his salary could rise to just over 20 million euros annually as part of a contract extension.
This would make the French national team player one of the absolute top earners at FC Bayern in the future.
Bayern wants to reward Olise for his development
The planned pay raise would primarily be a recognition of his on-field development. Since his move from Crystal Palace, Olise has steadily increased his importance within the team and is now one of the key players under Vincent Kompany.
At the same time, Bayern could send a clear signal to potential suitors with a new contract. In recent months, Real Madrid in particular has been repeatedly linked with Olise.
However, the Munich club made it clear early on that selling their attacking star is out of the question. Most recently, interest from the “Royals” is said to have cooled off anyway.
Eberl and Freund want to take precautions early on
Despite his comfortable contract situation, which runs through 2029, sporting director Max Eberl and sporting director Christoph Freund apparently do not want to wait. An early contract extension would secure FC Bayern’s future in the long term while also acknowledging Olise’s increased importance on the field.
The Frenchman has significantly increased his market value with his performances in Munich and has long since caught the attention of Europe’s top clubs.
