FC Bayern kicked off its preseason preparations on Monday. Along with the start of training, there have also been several updates regarding the roster. Now, the record champions have announced their next contract extension.
After defender Konrad Laimer officially extended his contract on Monday, young midfielder Erblin Osmani (17) has now followed suit.
Over the past few weeks, there have been very positive discussions between FC Bayern and the youngster; on Monday, he was already at the club’s offices to sign the contract.
Osmani will remain with FC Bayern
The central midfielder has been playing for FC Bayern’s youth teams since 2017 and even made his professional debut last season, albeit for just three minutes. He is considered one of the players in Munich who is expected to have a future on the professional team.

“Erblin is a native of Munich and a true product of the FC Bayern youth system. He has already made his debut with our first team, and we are convinced of his potential for further development. We’re delighted that Erblin will be taking the next steps with us,” enthuses Jochen Sauer, Director of Youth Development at the record-holding champions.
Osmani joined the FC Bayern Academy’s U9 team from TSV Milbertshofen. Last season, he initially played for the U17s and then for the U19s. He also made his Bundesliga debut against Union Berlin. The midfielder’s development is viewed very positively, and the club has high hopes for him.
During this summer training camp, Osmani has the chance to prove himself with the first team. Many national team players who were at the World Cup will not join training until later—in some cases, not until after the tour of Asia in early August. Perhaps he can already earn more first-team appearances during this phase.
