Today, Monday, marks the start of preseason training for FC Bayern. The first players from the record-holding champions are reporting for the mandatory fitness tests.
The group is still relatively small, given the many World Cup players who are still on special leave and, in some cases, won’t join the team until after the Asian tour, which takes place from August 1 to 8.
Of course, this also means that some young players will have the chance to make a name for themselves, especially at the start of training camp. Vincent Kompany will once again give a few young players the opportunity to catch his eye in the upcoming season.
Bayern Stars Kick Off Pre-Season Training
Even without the usual star-studded lineup, there was already plenty of activity at Säbener Straße. Journalists were naturally eager to catch a glimpse of the Bayern pros, who made their presence known right from the start. The first to arrive was a quartet led by youngster Lennart Karl, who is still in rehab. Sven Ulreich, Bayern’s third-string goalkeeper, also arrived early.

Among the players already joining the team is Serge Gnabry, who has recently made great strides following his severe adductor injury and will be able to resume a full training regimen fairly soon. Even players who are expected to be traded this summer—such as Joao Palhinha—have already arrived at Säbener Straße.
David Santos Daiber, a young prospect who was also recently injured, has also arrived. However, the team will need to be a little patient with him, as he is still in the process of recovering.
In the first few days and during the upcoming short training camp at Tegernsee, several young players will join the squad to ensure the best possible daily training routine.
