FC Bayern begins its preseason training on Monday. The World Cup players are gradually returning to Säbener Straße. However, three key players have a special schedule.
With the start of training, FC Bayern kicks off its preparations for the new season. After numerous players spent the summer at the World Cup in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, Vincent Kompany’s roster will begin to fill up again in the coming days.
As reported by *kicker*, nearly all World Cup participants will return to Munich shortly after their three-week vacation. Only three players will miss the subsequent trip to Asia.
Kane, Olise, and Upamecano will join the team later.
According to information from *kicker*, Bayern officials had already agreed with head coach Vincent Kompany before the start of the World Cup that only those national team players who were eliminated no later than the quarterfinals would participate in the Asian tour.
Since France, with Michael Olise and Dayot Upamecano, and England, with Harry Kane, reached the semifinals, this rule now applies. For Olise and Upamecano, the tournament is already over following their 0-2 loss to Spain in the World Cup semifinals.
Kane can still help England reach the final and will face defending champion Argentina on Wednesday evening.
The trio will first take a break after the tournament and will rejoin the team at a later date.
Saibari is undergoing an examination in Munich

Most of the remaining World Cup riders, however, are expected to arrive at Säbener Straße in the coming days.
These include, among others, Manuel Neuer, Jonathan Tah, Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Jamal Musiala, Hiroki Ito, Konrad Laimer, Josip Stanisic, Alphonso Davies, Luis Díaz, and new signing Ismael Saibari.
Particular attention is being paid to the Moroccan national team player. Saibari missed the quarterfinal against France due to a thigh muscle injury.
According to *kicker*, the new signing is set to undergo a medical examination in Munich first. Whether he will be able to join the Asian tour remains to be seen. However, as things stand, the attacking player is expected to be fit to play again for the Bundesliga opener.
Musiala and Davies are working on their comebacks
Jamal Musiala and Alphonso Davies are also continuing their rehabilitation training.
Musiala recently had a plate removed from his foot, while Davies was only able to play as a substitute at the World Cup following his injury.
Both are still expected to be part of the Asian tour and continue working on their returns there.
From Kompany’s perspective, the situation is generally favorable. Despite the long World Cup season, the Belgian can work with nearly the entire squad early in preseason. Only Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Dayot Upamecano will rejoin the team after their well-deserved vacations.
