FC Bayern has announced the jersey numbers for its women’s team for the 2026–27 season. One decision in particular stands out in goal: Ena Mahmutovic will take over the prestigious No. 1 jersey.
On Wednesday, FC Bayern released the new jersey numbers for its women’s team. This also officially confirmed an important personnel decision.
Goalkeeper Ena Mahmutovic will wear the number 1 next season, taking over the historic jersey number from Maria Luisa Grohs.
Mahmutovic is the new No. 1
The 22-year-old transferred from MSV Duisburg to Munich in the summer of 2024 and quickly established herself as a mainstay between the posts last season.
In total, the two-time German national team player made 31 competitive appearances for FC Bayern, keeping 17 clean sheets.
Until now, Mahmutovic wore the number 32. By switching to the number 1, the German champions are now underscoring her role as first-choice goalkeeper.
Maria Luisa Grohs, who previously wore that number, is leaving FC Bayern to join Olympique Lyon. The goalkeeper has signed a one-year contract with the top French club.
New jersey numbers for the new signings
In addition to Mahmutovic, FC Bayern also announced the jersey numbers for its summer signings.
Sarah Mattner, who is moving to Munich from FC St. Pölten, will wear number 11 going forward.
Goalkeeper Regina van Eijk, who was signed from Ajax Amsterdam, will wear number 22 going forward.
Eighteen-year-old Kassandra Potsi, who is joining FC Bayern from SGS Essen, will wear number 6 in her debut season.
For all other players, the jersey numbers remain unchanged from last season.
