FC Bayern has finalized its latest transfer. Jonah Kusi-Asare is moving permanently to Fulham FC—and Munich is securing a significantly higher transfer fee than initially offered.
FC Bayern can look forward to its next round of transfer revenue. According to information from Sky, Bayern Munich and Fulham have reached a basic agreement on a permanent transfer for Jonah Kusi-Asare. The Swedish U-21 national team player, who already played for the London club on loan last season, will thus remain in the Premier League on a permanent basis.
According to the report, Fulham will pay around six million euros for the 18-year-old forward. This means Bayern was able to drive the price up significantly once again compared to the initial offers.
Bayern Rejects Several Offers
The transfer had dragged on for several weeks. Initially, Fulham officials had made several offers ranging from three to five million euros.
However, Bayern Munich refused to be pressured and rejected all offers. The Munich club was convinced that the talent of the young Swedish national team player justified a higher transfer fee.
This patience has now clearly paid off. With a transfer fee of around six million euros, the record champions have secured significantly better terms than initially expected.
Kusi-Asare is staying in England
Kusi-Asare continued to develop during his loan spell at Fulham. Although the center forward made only a few appearances at the professional level, he made a positive impression internally and is still considered a player with great potential for development.
Before his move to England, the Swede had already made his debut for Bayern Munich’s first team and had also played regularly for the reserve team.
With this sale, the Munich club is generating additional revenue for its ongoing squad planning. Max Eberl is currently working intensively to create additional financial leeway for further reinforcements through player sales. Kusi-Asare’s move to Fulham marks the next successfully completed deal in this process.
