FC Bayern Munich wants to extend Harry Kane’s contract early. The exceptional English striker is currently under contract with the record champions through 2027. One question in particular remains unanswered.
It’s not about the Englishman’s willingness to commit to FC Bayern. He’s definitely on board—Kane feels very at home in Munich and recently turned down an offerfrom FC Barcelona, which had previously expressed interest .
But of course, that doesn’t automatically lead to a contract extension with the record champions. Talks must take place—after all, Kane is signing what is likely to be his last major contract here.
Bayern and Kane: One question remains
According to a report by SportBILD, the agreement between FC Bayern and the player remains the same: After the World Cup, they plan to sit down together and discuss everything at their leisure.
Importantly, FC Bayern has already picked up on positive signals from Kane’s camp. This means there is a full willingness to extend his contract. For the record champions, this means they can calmly agree with the player on the terms of the new contract.
For now, no other club will be able to interfere, because Kane is 100% focused on FCB. However, as the report indicates, there is still one sticking point that needs to be resolved. The contract term remains open, and the discussions so far have not yet yielded clarity on this matter.
Meanwhile, the Spanish newspaper *Sport*, which recently linked Barcelona with the English striker and also reported on Kane’s rejection, wrote that the forward wants a four-year contract, but Bayern initially intends to enter the negotiations with a shorter term in mind.
