The hat-trick in the cup final against Stuttgart showed once again why Harry Kane is so important for FC Bayern, so it’s clear that Uli Hoeneß doesn’t want to give him away under any circumstances – especially not to FC Barcelona
All three goals in FC Bayern’s 3-0 win over VfB Stuttgart in the cup final were scored by Harry Kane, a performance that sent Uli Hoeneß into raptures. The honorary president said of Kane after the game: „This is the best transfer we’ve ever made.“
However, the Bayern striker’s performances have also aroused the interest of top-level European rivals, with Mundo Deportivo reporting that the Englishman is being discussed by FC Barcelona as a successor to Robert Lewandowski
However, Uli Hoeneß is not interested in selling Kane. When asked whether there was a price tag for the attacking star, he replied: „No, of course not. FC Bayern is a buyers‘ club, not a sellers‘ club.“
Hoeneß: „Barcelona has no money at all!“
In addition to the statement, which conveys that FC Bayern is definitely not dependent on income from a Kane transfer, Hoeneß also made it clear that a sale to FC Barcelona in particular is not an issue. The club patron made it clear in a nutshell: „Barcelona has no money at all. That’s where it starts.“
And it continues with Kane himself, who is not considering a move anyway. As he announced after the cup final, the situation is relaxed. „I’m very happy. I’ve already made that clear to you. I’ve settled in really well here.“
Kane also commented on an extension at FC Bayern: „We’ve said: let’s get the season over with first. Probably the World Cup too, and then we’ll talk. I think both sides are happy with each other. Let’s see what happens.“ A contract extension therefore seems to be only a matter of time.
