The anticipation of a possible double is already palpable at the record champions – and apparently the plans for the big celebration after the final are already underway internally
As reported by BILD, the team will celebrate immediately after the game in Berlin if they win the cup, but there will apparently not be an additional championship party in Munich
President Herbert Hainer explained: „The national team players are already going to the national team two days later, so they will go home on Sunday and recover for another day or two and then it’s on to the next one.“
This means that there will be no further public event in the Bavarian capital after the championship celebration on the balcony of Munich City Hall last Sunday
Big Bayern party apparently planned at the „Kraftwerk“
Instead, the big double celebration is to take place directly in Berlin
According to BILD, Bayern are planning their party at Berlin’s „Kraftwerk“, an event location not far from Alexanderplatz and one of the capital’s best-known venues
An interesting fact: Borussia Dortmund has already celebrated there – albeit after losing two cup finals
in 2014, BVB lost 2:0 to FC Bayern of all teams, and a year later Dortmund lost 3:1 to VfL Wolfsburg. Nevertheless, the party was still held at the „Kraftwerk“
Bayern are determined to avoid such a scenario this time, however, as they could secure the double for the first time in six years.
