FC Bayern are already looking ahead to the upcoming summer transfer window, even though the current season is still in full swing. In the Bundesliga, one attacking player is increasingly becoming the focus of top international clubs. One of them is also on Munich’s radar: Yan Diomande.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, prominent competition is forming around the Leipzig winger at an early stage. The expert anticipates concrete interest from several heavyweights in the coming summer. FC Bayern, Manchester United and Tottenham „will be there“, according to Romano. However, there are currently no talks or negotiations; rather, the clubs are in a pure observation and scouting phase.
Diomande has quickly made a name for himself with his performances at RB Leipzig and is regarded as one of the most exciting attacking talents in the Bundesliga. At FC Bayern, the Ivorian international is seen as a potential candidate for the left wing, where the Munich club could make an addition without necessarily having to act at the moment.
Leipzig remains firm – price as a major obstacle
However, the transfer is unlikely to be financially viable for Munich if RB Leipzig stick to their guns. The Saxons have already made it clear in the past that they would only let Diomande leave for an exceptionally high transfer fee. Internally, the club is said to be aiming for a new record sale, which would drive the price into regions that would be difficult for FC Bayern to afford.
The strong international demand further exacerbates the situation. In addition to Munich and the top English clubs, Spanish clubs are also said to be looking closely, which puts Leipzig in a comfortable negotiating position. Those responsible at RB are correspondingly relaxed and currently see no reason to deviate from their ideas.
