What particularly annoyed the Bayern bosses, according to the report, was that the central defender’s advisors were still setting new conditions even on the last day of the self-imposed deadline. Upamecano took responsibility himself
In the end, however, the player himself was apparently the decisive factor in the breakthrough. According to SPORT1, Upamecano took responsibility at the crucial moment and personally gave his „yes“ to the Munich club. Previously, the Frenchman had largely stayed out of the talks for weeks and left the negotiations to his entourage
