The next personnel issue at FC Bayern is about to be resolved in the short term. There are increasing signs that Daniel Peretz will be loaned out to a new club
The 25-year-old is set to move to English second division club FC Southampton in the near future and , according to BILD, the deal is practically done
From Bayern’s point of view, the situation is clear: Peretz urgently needs match practice. After it became clear early on that the Israeli international goalkeeper would not be the number one at HSV in the second half of the season, the Munich club began looking for an alternative. This now appears to have been found. Southampton want to loan out the keeper immediately and talks are in the final stages
One financial aspect of the deal will apparently be decisive: HSV will not pay a cent to Munich for the current six-month loan. Originally, a variable model had been agreed, which would have been reduced with regular appearances and would have totalled between 400,000 and 500,000 euros for one year. This agreement has now lapsed
However, according to the report, Munich have agreed with Southampton that the English club will pay a higher loan fee than HSV would have done for the remaining months
Change of management at Hamburger SV
According to BILD, FCB sporting director Max Eberl and the then HSV board member Stefan Kuntz had already verbally agreed on a premature termination of the loan in mid-December. However, this was not put in writing, partly because of the internal upheavals in Hamburg. After Kuntz’s departure, other managers took over there, who initially insisted on compensation. With Southampton’s entry, a solution has now been found that is clean and sensible from Bayern’s point of view
Peretz himself recently pushed for a decision. He did not take part in HSV’s team training for two days and instead worked individually. Now things should move quickly. As soon as the final details are finalized, the keeper is expected to travel to England on Monday.
