FC Bayern is continuing to work on its squad planning for the coming summer – and is focusing specifically on the left wing.
According to Sky, the Munich club are looking for a serious challenger to Luis Diaz on the left wing. The plan is clear: to sign a top young talent who will put pressure on Diaz and at the same time increase their offensive variability.
Saïd El Mala is still at the top of the list. The attacking player from 1. FC Köln is regarded internally as the ideal solution because he combines pace, finishing power and development potential. Bayern have been monitoring his situation very closely for some time. However, the financial framework will be decisive, as several clubs are showing interest and a transfer will only be realistic if the price and overall package are right.
In addition to El Mala, Yan Diomande is now also increasingly coming into focus. The 19-year-old from RB Leipzig has rapidly played his way to the fore this season and, according to Sky, is also on FC Bayern’s list for the summer. Diomande’s profile fits perfectly with the profile they are looking for: dynamic, assertive in one-on-one situations and flexible on the wing, preferably on the left.
Diomande deal would not be easy for FC Bayern
However, a deal with Leipzig is anything but simple. Diomande has a long-term contract until 2030 and there is no exit clause. RB therefore clearly has the upper hand. A transfer would be conceivable after the World Cup at the earliest. Nevertheless, the Leipzig professional’s market value continues to rise and the competition from abroad is not sleeping.

In the end, the price is likely to be the deciding factor. Munich are prepared to invest, but do not want to get involved in a bidding war. One thing is clear: the competition for Luis Diaz is set to intensify – and the planning for this is in full swing.
