An FC Bayern talent is causing a stir with strong performances in the 2nd division. Now his path could lead him away from Munich permanently, but the record champions can still have a decisive say.
Noel Aseko Nkili has quickly established himself at second division club Hannover 96. The central midfielder, who was loaned out by Munich last winter, is one of the key players there. He has played in all 17 league games so far this season, making 15 appearances in the starting eleven. According to Bild, Hannover’s new sporting director Jörg Schmadtke has firm plans for the 20-year-old – and would like to exercise the agreed purchase option next summer.
Lower Saxony have secured a fixed transfer fee of one million euros. At the same time, FC Bayern has a contractually stipulated buy-back right, which would cost 2.4 million euros. Should the buy-back take place, Hannover would be left with a profit of 1.4 million euros. A classic win-win model if both parties take action.
