FC Bayern clearly wins 5-0 at VfB Stuttgart on the 13th Bundesliga matchday. The Bayern stars in the FCBinside individual review.
Jonas Urbig: Initiated the 1-0 win for Bayern with his long, precise pass. Made a great reflex save to turn a deflected shot from Undav over the bar. Good game from Neuer’s deputy. Grade: 2
Konrad Laimer: His magical dream goal to make it 1:0 was world class! After a long ball from Urbig, Laimer took the ball on, played it on to Olise, received the ball back from the Frenchman and then finished with a technically strong heel through the legs of VfB keeper Nübel. Laimer was also very committed in other respects and whirled around on the right flank together with Olise. Grade: 1
Dayot Upamecano: Lost the header duel before Stuttgart’s supposed 1:1 equaliser, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Otherwise, Upamecano put in a convincing performance and cleared everything away at the back. Grade: 2
Minjae Kim: A stable performance, didn’t make any notable forays forward but took care of his defensive duties. 3
Tom Bischof: Started at left-back but was not really convincing. Lost the majority of his duels in defence and was unable to make any impact going forward. Was substituted at half-time. Mark: 4
Joshua Kimmich: Played very attentively against his boyhood club and drove Bayern’s play forward time and time again. Also scored the assist for Kane’s long-range goal. A decent game from Kimmich. Mark: 3
Leon Goretzka: Was preferred to Pavlovic, but was unable to make an impact in the center of midfield. Was not particularly strong defensively and extremely inconspicuous offensively. Goretzka had a single shot, but Nübel had no problems with his weak, central shot. Mark: 4
Michael Olise: His clever pass set up Laimer’s chipped goal to make it 1-0 for FCB. Nübel allowed his shot from the sixteen to slip through, but the ball then rolled next to the goal. Shortly after the restart, Olise shot dangerously over the goal. Then also provided the assist for the 5-0 through Kane. Olise was very active and repeatedly caused problems for the VfB defence. Grade: 2

Raphael Guerreiro: Started at number ten in Stuttgart. Was largely left out of the Stuttgart attack and had little influence on Bayern’s attacking play. Coach Vincent Kompany replaced him after an hour. Not a convincing performance from Guerreiro. Grade: 4
Luis Diaz: Picked up his 5th yellow card and is therefore suspended against Mainz. Missed a great chance after an assist from Olise when he pushed the ball wide of the goal in front of Nübel. But then set up Stanisic’s goal to make it 3-0. Overall grade: 3
Nicolas Jackson: Started from the beginning and replaced Kane, who was rested. Jackson was unable to make the most of this opportunity. In the first half, he allowed himself to be pushed away too easily once when he had a chance to score in the penalty area, then he missed a shot wide and later failed to beat Nübel from close range. A poor performance from the on-loan striker. Mark: 4
Substitute
Josip Stanisic (46 for Bischof): Showed strong tackling and running. The Croatian international scored the 3:0 – even if Nübel didn’t look bad in the process. Good game from Stanisic. Grade: 2

Lennart Karl (60th for Guerreiro): Wasn’t able to provide any real highlights after coming on as a substitute, but was hard-working and strong in his running. Mark: 3
Aleksandar Pavlovic (60th for Goretzka): Played a solid game alongside Kimmich and was his usual ball- and pass-playing self. 3
Harry Kane (60th for Jackson): Came on after an hour and made it 2-0 shortly afterwards: Nübel couldn’t keep out his 128 km/h shot into the bottom left corner. A class goal! Kane then had another chance, but Nübel deflected his shot next to the post. The Englishman then scored a cool penalty and the third from an Olise assist. A flawless hat-trick from Kane, a world-class joker performance! Grade: 1
Hiroki Ito (83rd for Upamecano): Came on too late for a rating
