Franculino Djú continues to attract attention on the transfer market, with FC Bayern still showing concrete interest in the Danish attacker
Scouts from the German record champions were once again in the stadium for the latest league game of his club FC Midtjylland. As the Danish portal Campo reports, observers from Munich were on hand when the 21-year-old impressed with two goals against FC Nordsjælland. Representatives from Dortmund, Liverpool and other top international clubs also watched the game
Djú has scored a strong 21 goals in 29 competitive matches this season and also impressed last season with 16 goals in 41 competitive matches
A few weeks ago, Sport BILD reported that Djú is regarded internally as an exciting project for the future. Sports director Christoph Freund in particular is said to have made a strong internal case for the agile left-footer. He was already scouted live several times in the summer, so the interest is by no means new. If Nickolas Jackson is not signed permanently in the summer, Djú could become a hot candidate and be developed as a successor to Harry Kane
Midtjylland sporting director confirms Bayern interest
Djú is on the list of several clubs. In addition to Premier League interested parties such as Everton FC, Bundesliga clubs such as RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen are also monitoring his development. Coach Mike Tullberg recently joked with regard to his BVB past: „There are no FCM players who will move to Bayern Munich – if they leave us, they will go to Dortmund.“ At the same time, sporting director Jacob Larsen confirmed: „FC Bayern is one of several – that’s probably right.“
However, a transfer in January is considered unlikely. Djú has a contract until 2029 and Midtjylland are currently unwilling to sell. Nevertheless, the observations from Munich are continuing – and should new gaps open up in the Bayern forward line in the summer, his name will remain a hot topic.
