Mainz talent Brajan Gruda is attracting interest from a number of top clubs. FC Bayern in particular is said to be considering signing the 20-year-old. The attacking jewel has now spoken about his sporting future.

During his stay with the German national team, Gruda spoke about the persistent rumours that he could take the next step to a top club in the near future. The youngster told the Münchner Abendzeitung newspaper: „Of course people are looking into the subject, but at the moment my full focus is here. My advisor is sorting everything out. I’m open to everything. At my age, it’s important that I play a lot and show what I can do.“

„At my age, it’s important that I play a lot and show what I can do. If I sit on the bench week in, week out or only get a few appearances, I think that ruins players. Money will come at some point if you’re very, very successful. But the important thing is to play, to have fun,“ said the youngster.

Gruda: „Robben is my favourite player“

The German record champions could become a top option for the 20-year-old. When asked about Munich, the attacking gem was not averse to the idea and referred to his childhood idol: „Robben is my favourite player alongside Messi. I’ve seen a lot of the Bundesliga and Bayern. Robben used to cut inside from the right with his left foot, I loved the way he played“

Whether a transfer to Munich could actually be realised also depends on Bayern coach Vincent Kompany. After his arrival in the Bavarian capital, the Belgian will have to make important decisions about the tactical direction and desired new additions.

Gruda is currently being given the opportunity to showcase his skills with the DFB team, even though he will not be in the final squad for the upcoming home European Championships.
