FC Bayern have apparently decided in favour of Ralf Rangnick as their new coach. Now the final details need to be clarified. Another meeting is now planned for this purpose.

Ralf Rangnick is well on his way to becoming the new coach of FC Bayern. According to BILD, talks between the Munich management and the 65-year-old are at an advanced stage.

As previously reported by the Süddeutsche Zeitung and kicker , according to BILD, Bayern have agreed to bring Rangnick to Munich.

According to the report, a further meeting between the bosses around sporting director Max Eberl and sporting director Christoph Freund and Rangnick is planned in order to clarify the final details of the deal.

Transfer fee of two to three million euros?

According to the report, Rangnick is not only planned as an interim solution for one year, but is also unlikely to receive an extremely long contract.

A contract until 2026 or 2027 is currently being discussed. By comparison: Julian Nagelsmann was given a five-year contract when he signed with the German record champions in 2021. However, the club parted ways with him in March 2023. He was followed by Thomas Tuchel, who has to leave the club after the season.

Rangnick is currently still the Austrian national team coach and will also be in charge of the team at the European Championships in Germany this summer. The coach still has a contract with the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB) until 2026, but Bayern do not expect any problems in the talks with the Austrian association, according to BILD. The club would therefore pay a transfer fee of two to three million euros for its future coach.

Rangnick has previously coached at Manchester United, RB Leipzig, Schalke 04, TSG Hoffenheim, Hannover 96, Stuttgart and Ulm, among others.
