It seems like bad news for Bayern Munich do not seem to have an end. The club has announced that Jamal Musiala has been infected with COVID-19.

The German midfielder becomes the fifth player after Manuel Neuer, Leon Goretzka, Thomas Müller and Joshua Kimmich to have been infected with COVID-19.

According to the club’s statement, Musiala is doing well and is currently quarantined at home.

Just like the other players, Musiala is set to miss five to six days. Therefore, he will not be available for the Bavarians in the UEFA Champions League against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday and most likely against SC Freiburg on Sunday for the Bundesliga fixture.

Musiala’s absence even for a short time is a setback for Bayern, as he is currently the player with the most goal contributions within the team. The German midfielder has been involved in 15 goals this season.
