The loss against FC Augsburg has confirmed that Bayern Munich are now in crisis. Julian Nagelsmann is found lost for words after the defeat.

On the seventh day of the Bundesliga matchday, FC Bayern lost 1-0 at FC Augsburg on Saturday afternoon. It was the first defeat of the season for the Bavarians.

„After four games without a win, we are stunned and devastated. I can’t say much that’s positive if we lose 1-0,“ summarized Thomas Müller.

„The way we played today, you can’t win in the Bundesliga. Now there are no more excuses, now we need wins,“ he said sporting director, Hasan Salihamidžić.

Hasan Salihamidžić: „We haven’t won in four Bundesliga games, got three points out of a possible twelve, so I’m a little concerned. You can’t win in the Bundesliga the way we played today. We didn’t concentrate on the situations we had, we played them out with a certain greed to score goals and we created a few chances. We have problems against teams that play against us physically. If we don’t bring that certain discipline, greed and physicality, we can’t win. Now there are no more excuses, we have to win.“

Julian Nagelsmann: “We had many situations and threw away lots of chances, we played it laissez-faire in the final third. Augsburg’s line-up was very courageous, they cleared every ball up front. After we conceded the goal it became harder. We had enough chances to win.“

Thomas Müller: „After four games without a win we are stunned and devastated. I can’t say much that’s positive if we lose 0-1. We created a lot of chances, but if you don’t score we play at zero. The last chance where Manuel Neuer almost scored his first professional goal was significant, but Rafał Gikiewicz was also in good spirits.“

Leon Goretzka: „We had a few chances where we had to score. We weren’t good at the end. It’s primitive football they play, but to perfection. Then we weren’t awake once and conceded the goal. We have to start winning again. That was our goal today too, it didn’t work and that’s bad.“
