Leon Goretzka was diagnosed with a knee injury few weeks ago and has to be out for six to eight weeks. The German is now making progress as he was spotted on Bayern Munich’s training pitch

A week after his surgical operation, Goretzka began knee rehabilitation and was already making good progress back then. He was training twice a day in Bayern’s training center. Finally, on Wednesday, he was spotted on the green pitch doing individual runs.

According to „Tageszeitung“ Bayern want to give the German international enough time for his comeback. The pressure and the workload on Goretzka will be increased step by step and cautiously.

Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic also hinted that Bayern will not rush anything with Leon Goretzka and will give him all the time in the world in order to recover as quickly as possible. The 27-year-old is an important part of the team, and will only be used again when he is at 100 percent.

A comeback time for Leon Goretzka also seems to have been revealed. According to kicker and BILD, Goretzka could make his comeback in mid-September at the latest.
