The club has been quite active in the summer transfer window in the youth, amateur team, and professional squad in 2022. Bayern have now completed another signing for the amateurs, but this one will be surprising.
According to Senegalese outlet Taggatsn, Benin’s national team player and Sadio Mane’s best friend, Desire Segbe Azankpo has joined Bayern Munich’s amateur team on a 2-year deal. Although the club is yet to comment on this officially, the player has already posted it on his Instagram page.

The 29 years old is a very close friend of Bayern star Sadio Mané and is considered one of his closest confidants. The two met during their time together in Senegal at the Generation Foot academy. Both later moved to the French club FC Metz in Europe.
While Mané rose to become a top international star at Red Bull Salzburg and later at Liverpool, Segbe has played for numerous clubs across Europe in recent years.
The striker has already played in England, Luxembourg, and Slovakia, usually in the lower tiers. Until recently he was under contract with USL Dunkerque in France. However, the striker played on loan in the previous season at FC Dinamo Bucharest. Segbe has played for a total of 9 different clubs since 2013.
Mané’s friend is not planned for Julian Nagelsmann’s senior team, but will play for the Bayern Munich amateurs in the Bavarian regional league in the future. Segbe already had a two weeks trial with Bayern, where he managed to convince the club and give him a 2 years contract.
