It is not a secret that Robert Lewandowski’s relationship with Julian Nagelsmann has been cold since months. Apparently, a recent conversation between the two has been leaked that shows the ego problems of the Polish striker, in correspondence with his recent behavior in the media.

In the past season, reports repeatedly made the rounds that Lewandowski was not a big fan of Nagelsmann’s tactical approach, especially the attacking approach with five to six offensive players which isolated Lewandowski: „If you play with six offensive players and the opponents are very defensive, it’s not easy for a striker,“ explained this in November 2021 as part of a press conference by the Polish national team.

According to TZ, there was a „conversation“ between Nagelsmann and Lewandowski in the final stages of the season, during which the Bayern coach felt his striker’s ego attack.

The head coach wanted to explain to his attacker in training how he could better position himself in the opponent’s penalty area after crossing. Lewandowski apparently showed no desire to know or learn anything about it and is said to have reminded Nagelsmann that he scored 41 goals in one season and not Nagelsmann.

According to „SPORT1“, the bad relationship with Nagelsmann is one of the many reasons why Lewandowski definitely wants to leave Bayern in the summer. Nagelsmann himself has always denied in the past that there would be any problems between him and the Pole.

A recent report from Kicker claims that Lewandowski had internally criticized the playing style of FC Bayern, which had jeopardized the chances of winning the Champions League and winning the personal awards such as Ballon d’Or or FIFA World Player. In Barcelona, he would have higher chances of winning the Ballon d’Or due to the high publicity.
