The Spanish outlet „AS“ reports that the Catalans are quite optimistic on the matter regarding Lewandowski. The 33-year-old has made it absolutely clear to Bayern that he wanted to leave the club in the summer.

Apparently, the „straightforward attitude of the striker“ surprised the Bayern board. They are now said to be seriously considering starting transfer negotiations with Barcelona.

According to „AS“, Barcelona have set the demanded fee for Lewandowski at 60 million euros. Barça bosses are convinced that Bayern cannot ignore an offer of this magnitude, especially given that he will be available on a free transfer in just under 12 months. In the past few days, reports have been circulating that Bayern would be willing to talk for a sum of 40 million euros.

Everything should already be clear between Barcelona and Lewandowski. The Pole has agreed on a 3-year contract with the Catalans. According to „AS“, the 2020 Champions League winner will „only“ earn 9 million euros NET per year and thus significantly less than FC Bayern (approx. 12 million euros NET).
