There are growing signs that Robert Lewandowski wants to leave Bayern Munich in the summer. The Pole is pushing for a move to FC Barcelona and no longer wants to extend his contract with the club.

Although there was a first meeting between Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi and the Bayern bosses last week, a contract extension with the German record champions seems increasingly unlikely. „Sky Germany“ reports, the 33-year-old striker would like to leave FC Bayern for Barcelona at the end of the season.

Bayern has still not submitted an offer

According to Sky, Lewandowski and Bayern have still not approached each other. This is due in particular to the fact that the club has not yet submitted an extension offer.

With FC Barcelona, on the other hand, there has already been a discussion of concrete numbers –even though Barça sports director Mateu Alemany recently denied a meeting with Zahavi. The Catalans are reportedly trying to convince the striker with a 3-year deal and a salary of €30m per season.

But in Munich nobody wants to know anything about it. Those responsible at Bayern recently made it clear that they are not prepared to let Lewandowski go before his contract expires in 2023. The Bavarians are not financially able to buy an adequate replacement this summer.
