Champions League draw: Bayern Munich face Barcelona, Inter and Viktoria Plzen for the group stage

The UEFA Champions League draw that took place in Istanbul has now revealed the groups and the opponents that will face each other in the group stage.



Bayern Munich have been placed in Group C, where they will meet an old opponent and old friend, FC Barcelona and Robert Lewandowski. Other opponents include Inter Milan and Viktoria Plzen. The last time Bayern faced Inter was in 2010-11 Champions League Round of 16, where the Bavarians were eliminated at home by a 2-3 result on away goals.

Meanwhile, the Czech club Viktoria Plzen is not unfamiliar with Bayern either. They faced each other in 2013-14 group stage campaign where Bayern won both games 0-1 and 5-0.
