Mané in awe of FC Bayern: „One of the biggest clubs in the world“

The 30-year-old has already given his first interview as a Bayern Munich player. In an interview with „BILD“, the Senegalese revealed why he decided to join the German record champions.

Mané-Mania currently has FC Bayern firmly in its grip. Mane has been in Munich since yesterday and has successfully completed the obligatory medical check-up. The official announcement of the transfer, including the presentation, is set to take place on Wednesday.

In an interview with „BILD“, Mané revealed why he decided to join Bayern Munich: „When my agent first told me about Bayern Munich’s interest, I was hooked. I saw myself there right away. For me, it was the right club at the right time. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world and the team is always fighting for every title. So for me, it was a very good idea and the right decision to come here.”

According to Mané, there were also inquiries from other top clubs, but he decided very quickly for Bayern: „My agent told me that there were also inquiries from other clubs. That’s part of the deal. But I got the feeling right away when Bayern presented the plan to me. I found myself in Bayern’s plan more than anyone else.“

The Senegalese has already won the Champions League once with Liverpool FC and was recently in the final again. But that does not stop him from winning the title again, with another club: „Every child wants to win the Champions League, every football player in the world. I’m on a very, very competitive team now. But it’s still a bit early to talk about the Champions League final, we haven’t even played a game together yet. But we will give everything to get into the final.”
