After two consecutive draws, unease is growing at FC Bayern. The 2-2 draw at FC Augsburg was followed by a disappointing 3-3 tie in the Champions League against Viking Stavanger. Although Munich remains undefeated, critical questions are increasingly being asked behind the scenes. As reported by BILD, club officials are already intensively addressing several issues.
The numerous individual mistakes, in particular, are causing concern for Bayern’s leadership. Sporting director Max Eberl spoke plainly after the match in Norway: “We’re simply making too many mistakes right now. That’s not the level our team is capable of.”
CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen also called for consequences after the game. The team must learn from its recent setbacks.
Coach Vincent Kompany also openly addressed the problems. Michael Olise’s red card, in particular, caused internal frustration.
Bayern executives are concerned about the offense
According to BILD, in addition to defensive lapses, the offense is a particular cause for concern.
While Harry Kane and Michael Olise continue to deliver reliably, other key players are falling short of expectations.
Luis Díaz is under particular scrutiny. The Colombian scored his first goal in Stavanger since the start of the Bundesliga season and is still waiting for his first assist.
Due to his slump, the offensive play is increasingly concentrated on the right side with Olise. This makes Bayern more predictable.
On top of that, several new signings and bench players have not yet performed as hoped. Ismael Saibari, Nathaniel Brown, and Tom Bischof were unable to make a decisive impact in Stavanger.
Lennart Karl and Minjae Kim also fell short of expectations. Kompany is thus lacking key alternatives for his rotation.
Kimmich sounds the alarm: “We’re not at our top level.”

Another issue is the long international break. Honorary President Uli Hoeneß had already criticized the fact that the numerous national team players had lost their rhythm as a result.
According to BILD, this issue is also being discussed internally. However, club officials do not want to attribute the recent results solely to this factor.
Joshua Kimmich has felt for some time now that the team isn’t at its best. “I said relatively early in the season that I felt we weren’t at our top level yet,” explained the Bayern captain.
His subsequent statement was particularly noteworthy: “Inside, I’m on high alert.”
Nevertheless, Kimmich continues to have confidence in his team’s quality.
According to BILD, there’s no panic in the front office yet either. It’s seen as a positive that the coach and players are openly addressing the problems instead of looking for excuses.
Now, however, results on the field must follow. As early as Saturday against RB Leipzig, FC Bayern will be under pressure to deliver. Another disappointing result is likely to further intensify the discussions at Säbener Straße.
