At FC Bayern, planning for the coming years is in full swing. While the contract extension with Harry Kane appears to be nearing completion, the next major project is set to follow: Michael Olise is expected to stay in Munich long-term.
Although the Frenchman is still under contract through 2029, Bayern wants to set the course early. Recently, there has even been talk of a possible extension through 2032. In addition, this would elevate Olise to the ranks of the top earners at the record-holding champions, with a salary of up to 25 million euros per season. This would bring the total value of the new contract to more than 120 million euros.
It appears that a meeting has already taken place between Bayern officials and the 24-year-old’s representatives. The discussion included Olise’s future—though concrete contract negotiations were not yet on the agenda.
Bayern Meets with Olise’s Advisors
As reported in the BILD podcast “Bayern Insider,” the Munich club recently met with the offensive star’s advisors. The focus was primarily on Olise’s public image.
The Frenchman is considered introverted and likes to keep a low profile off the field. According to the report, Bayern would like to see a bit more enthusiasm from their star player in the future, particularly at sponsor events or team photo sessions.
It is said that this was explicitly not meant as a fundamental criticism of Olise. Club officials understand how the 24-year-old ticks and that public appearances aren’t necessarily among his favorite activities. Rather, the aim was to work together to find ways to improve his public image in one area or another.
On Olise’s side, this request was by no means taken negatively. Rather, there was understanding for the club’s perspective. Bayern has no intention of fundamentally changing Olise’s personality anyway.
The meeting is thus further evidence of the continued good relationship between both sides—and sets a solid foundation for the much more important discussions that could follow soon.
After Kane, it’s Olise’s turn

That’s because a clear order of priority is emerging at Bayern. First, the contract extension with Kane is to be finalized. Afterward, club officials plan to focus more on Olise.
There is no time pressure in this regard. The French international is still under a long-term contract. Nevertheless, his outstanding performances have long made the 24-year-old a sought-after prospect at other top European clubs.
Real Madrid, in particular, is repeatedly mentioned as a potential suitor. Most recently, there were even reports suggesting that the player’s side might push for a special buyout clause for Real Madrid in a new Bayern contract. However, no agreement on a new contract has been reached yet.
Bayern’s position remains comfortable, nonetheless. Olise is under contract through 2029, his on-field form is excellent, and his relationship with his agents appears to be harmonious.
