FC Bayern can count on extraordinary support from its fans in the 2026–27 season. After ticket demand had already reached record levels last season, that mark has now been surpassed once again.
As the German record champions announced, there have never been so many ticket requests for home and away games in a single season. All matches are already sold out. While fans can still submit requests for select matches, demand far exceeds the available supply.
What’s particularly noteworthy is that the enormous demand is by no means limited to home games at the Allianz Arena. More Bayern fans than ever before also want to travel with their team for away games.
Bayern could fill entire stadiums with its own fans on the road
One remarkable figure illustrates just how high the demand actually is: For some away games, there are so many ticket requests that FC Bayern could, in theory, fill the opposing team’s entire stadium exclusively with its own supporters.
Naturally, however, the record champions have access to only a fraction of the total stadium capacity for away games. Consequently, the chances for many fans of actually securing a ticket through the official allocation are quite slim.
The situation is similar at the Allianz Arena. The Munich team’s home games are regularly sold out, while the number of ticket requests far exceeds the number of available seats.
For CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, the record demand is a clear sign of the club’s undiminished appeal.
“The enormous interest in our games is overwhelming and by no means a given. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our fans for this. It demonstrates once again the immense appeal of FC Bayern,” Dreesen explained.
“Impressive proof of the bond”
At the same time, the Bayern boss knows that the extraordinary demand also presents a challenge. A large number of interested fans will inevitably come away empty-handed when tickets are allocated.
“The fact that we receive significantly more ticket requests for every game—whether home or away—than there are seats available is impressive proof of our fans’ loyalty to the club,” Dreesen emphasized.
The 58-year-old also assured that the Munich club will continue to strive to enable as many fans as possible to attend games at the stadium: “We know we can’t fulfill every request, but we’re doing everything we can to continue offering our members and fan clubs special experiences at the stadium.”
For FC Bayern, the record demand sends a strong signal even off the field. Despite the already enormous demand for tickets in recent years, interest in the record champions appears to be growing even further. In the 2026–27 season, the team can thus count on tremendous support from its fans at virtually every game.
