This summer, FC Bayern secured the services of left back Nathaniel Brown, among others, who transferred from Eintracht Frankfurt to the record champions. He scored right away in his first game at the Allianz Arena.
That was on Saturday, when the record champions won the Telekom Cup against RB Leipzig (3–1). Brown showcased his skills in that match, and for him, it was a particularly memorable debut in front of his home fans.
As part of the Allianz FC Bayern Team Day—an event at the Bayern Campus where not only do the pros hold a public training session, but there’s also a full program of activities—a team presentation for both the men’s and women’s teams will take place on Monday.
Brown raves about FC Bayern
Speaking about the event, Nathaniel Brown explained how at home he feels at FC Bayern and how important his first goal was to him. “It was a special feeling. I’m from Bavaria, and now to play for this great club at the Allianz Arena—and to score a goal, too—feels amazing,” said Brown.
He showcased his offensive skills against Leipzig but was also consistently solid on defense. His integration into the team went smoothly as well: “Overall, I feel very comfortable. I already knew many of them from the national team. Everyone has welcomed me very warmly, including the coaching staff and the support staff.”
There are high hopes at FC Bayern that the national team player will establish himself as a key player as quickly as possible. He has everything it takes: he’s technically skilled, can escape pressure situations, and has the speed needed to defend effectively in Bayern’s high defensive line.
His first competitive match is coming up this weekend. In the Super Cup against Borussia Dortmund, Brown will have the chance to win his first title in the jersey of the record champions.
