FC Bayern and SSV Ulm 1846 Soccer are continuing their partnership. Both clubs have extended their cooperation, which has been in place since 2021, for another year through 2027. The partnership is set to become significantly more intensive in the future.
As SSV Ulm 1846 Fußball has announced, FC Bayern Munich and the Regionalliga club are continuing their collaboration. The two clubs have been linked by a close partnership since 2021, which is set to be expanded even further in the coming months.
The focus will be primarily on the SSV’s youth academy. The structures in Ulm are to be further professionalized and strategically developed. As part of this, the third-division club will also receive personnel support from Munich.
Bayern Aims to Further Expand Collaboration
Officials from both clubs see great potential in the extended partnership. Jochen Sauer, Director of Youth Development at FC Bayern, highlighted in particular the exchange program that is already in place.
„We have worked together to advance a number of initiatives in recent years, and the exchange at the player level has also developed well,“ Sauer explained.
The Munich-based club now intends to continue and expand on this path: “We want to continue down this path, but also take it to the next level,” said the Bayern official.
Three youth players make the leap to the pros
Ulm is also pleased about the continued partnership: “We’ve had a close partnership with FC Bayern Munich for five years, and we’re very happy that we’ve now been able to extend and strengthen it,” said SSV Managing Director Dominik Schwärzel.
The partnership is already bearing fruit at the player level as well. According to Schwärzel, three youth players from Ulm were integrated into the professional squad this summer: “We’d like to thank FC Bayern Munich for this. This summer, we were able to integrate three players from our youth system into the professional squad, and this will continue to be a central part of our path forward.”
For SSV, the partnership with Germany’s record champion is thus primarily an opportunity to further develop its own youth program. Bayern, in turn, gains further insight into the development of young players through the partnership.
The collaboration is therefore set not only to continue in the coming months but also to be specifically intensified. For both clubs, the extension represents a clear commitment to a shared path in youth soccer.
