Although both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have repeatedly indicated recently that a transfer this summer is highly unlikely, the Spanish record champions are reportedly planning a final push—and are banking on a time-tested strategy.

As reported by AS journalist Joaquín Maroto, who has close ties to Real Madrid, the club continues to work behind the scenes to sign the 24-year-old. According to Maroto, however, President Florentino Pérez is deliberately waiting to make an official move.
According to Maroto, a potential transfer push is not expected until the final days of the summer transfer window. “Most of the transfers that Florentino Pérez has personally handled were finalized at the end of the transfer window. The ‘Florentino phase’ runs from August 29 to 31,” the insider explained.
Until then, no concrete offer from Madrid is expected. Instead, Real Madrid intends to first monitor further developments at FC Bayern and among the players.
Bayern remains firm – a massive offer is on the table
However, the basic situation has not changed. Michael Olise still has a contract in Munich through 2029, and Bayern’s executives have repeatedly emphasized that they do not want to let their star forward go.
At the same time, however, reports continue to circulate about a possible record-breaking offer from Spain. According to these reports, Real Madrid is reportedly prepared internally to invest up to 250 million euros for the Frenchman if necessary. This would represent the financial ceiling that the club has set for a transfer.
However, other sources contradict the idea of a transfer happening anytime soon. As The Athletic reports, citing sources close to the club, Real Madrid officials themselves do not currently view signing Olise this summer as feasible.
As a result, much of this remains speculation. The only thing that is clear is this: As long as the transfer window is open and Olise has not made a clear statement about his future, the topic is likely to continue to be a focus for FC Bayern. Whether Florentino Pérez will indeed make one last push at the end of August remains to be seen in the final days of the transfer window.
