Michael Olise is one of the most sought-after players in the world. FC Bayern has recently put an end to all discussions surrounding a summer transfer and made its position clear. Nevertheless, the rumor mill continues to churn.
But there’s nothing FC Bayern can do about that. The prevailing opinion internally is clear: Olise is not for sale, and his contract is set to be extended soon. The player himself also seems to view this as a realistic possibility, even though talks won’t take place until after the World Cup.
If Bayern succeeds in extending Olise’s contract, this will naturally have corresponding financial implications. His base salary will then increase significantly.
Olise is poised for a spectacular deal
But even aside from the transfer market itself, there is great interest in Olise. The Frenchman is one of the few players on the world stage who currently does not have a major contract with an equipment sponsor.
This is very unusual for one of the best players in the world. And Adidas CEO Björn Gulden wants to change that as soon as possible.
A TZ report, accompanied by a video, indicates that he intends to try to sign Olise for Adidas.
Reporter Vinzent Tschirpke reports from New York that Gulden also spoke about Olise during a panel discussion with experts such as Jürgen Klopp and Sami Khedira, announcing that he would do everything in his power to sign the FC Bayern star.
He emphasized that he enjoys watching Olise play and that he is a very “good player.” Olise has the potential to become one of the brand’s flagship ambassadors.
In addition, players who secure an equipment sponsorship deal—and who are already performing at a high level—also benefit enormously financially. One potential sticking point, of course, is that other equipment sponsors will surely come up with—or have already come up with—the idea of making an offer to the Frenchman.
