Kimmich: „Lived through many situations myself“
„A lot depends on how you deal with the different characters. You can give a player the feeling that he is important, that he can help the team. Every footballer is a bit sensitive and it helps if you know each other well. Only then do you know which player you need to approach and how,“ said Kimmich, who plays in midfield at FC Bayern and is now a right-back for Julian Nagelsmann
His own wealth of experience is of immense importance to the international, as he himself revealed: „When I was 20, I didn’t yet understand the importance of this – back then I wouldn’t have been able to go to a 27-year-old and make announcements. In the meantime, I’ve been through many situations myself and can give the odd piece of advice. Which doesn’t always mean that the other person has to accept it.“
Kimmich has undergone a maturing process

„I demand a lot, but I also try to exemplify what I demand myself. I’ve now understood and accepted that you can’t demand the same from everyone. That’s not the way to get the maximum out of everyone,“ said the Bayern star.
