Leon Goretzka will leave FC Bayern at the end of the season. The search for his next club is now picking up speed, especially in Italy.
The 31-year-old’s contract expires in the summer and his departure has already been officially announced. Several clubs are interested in Goretzka, with Serie A in particular taking center stage. Juventus Turin and AC Milan are said to have the still-Bayern professional on their radar.
According to Tutto Juve, Goretzka wants a net salary of seven million euros per year at his new club. Compared to his previous Bayern contract, this would be a clear cut: in Munich, the midfielder is expected to earn around 14 to 17 million euros gross per year, depending on the source.
Nevertheless, the package would be enormous for Juventus. At seven million euros net, Goretzka would immediately be one of the absolute top earners in Turin, which complicates the Old Lady’s considerations.
Milan apparently take the next step

The situation at AC Milan appears to be more concrete. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri have presented the Bayern star with a three-year contract that would earn him five million euros per season. The fact that Goretzka has not yet accepted at least suggests that the former international is continuing to consider his options.
Sky previously reported that Milan are among the hottest candidates in the race for Goretzka. The Italians are said to have already held talks with the player and see the physically strong midfielder as a reinforcement for the center. Clubs from the Premier League are also reportedly monitoring the situation.
A decision has still not been made. According to Sky, Goretzka has not yet given a commitment to any club and wants to concentrate on the end of the season with FC Bayern first. After eight years in Munich, his next chapter could therefore open in Italy, but the financial framework remains a key issue.
