FC Bayern are heading into the decisive weeks of the season and Joshua Kimmich could hardly be more satisfied. The midfield boss of the German record champions currently sees Munich in promising form
In an interview with SWR, Kimmich looked ahead to the crucial phase of the current season and appeared relaxed and optimistic at the same time. Despite the heavy workload and intense style of play, the 31-year-old hardly feels any physical problems at the moment. „It actually feels good at the moment,“ explained the Bayern professional and immediately provided the appropriate justification: „When you win, it doesn’t hurt the next day either.“
Results and style of play in harmony
For Kimmich, however, it’s not just the result that is decisive. Rather, the DFB captain attaches great importance to the way FC Bayern are currently performing. „It’s not always just about the result – at Bayern a lot, of course – but it’s also about the manner,“ emphasized the midfield strategist
And it is precisely in this respect that he currently sees the Munich side making great progress. „It’s very, very good at the moment,“ said Kimmich, referring not only to their dominance, but also the control and stability in Bayern’s game
This combination of results and convincing performance is giving rise to great confidence internally, as the team has developed in recent weeks and is now in an ideal position for the tasks ahead
„I would say we are optimally prepared“

Looking ahead to the rest of the season, Kimmich makes it clear that the decisive phase is now beginning. Title decisions are imminent, the pressure is mounting – but that’s exactly what FCB feels well prepared for. „Now come the decisive weeks, the very, very exciting weeks,“ says Kimmich. He is clearly positive about the starting position: „I would say we are optimally prepared.“
Bayern face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and have a tough away game at Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB Cup
However, the personnel situation will remain a decisive factor. Fitness and availability are particularly important in this intensive phase. „Now I hope that everyone stays fit and healthy,“ said the 31-year-old.
