The Croatian full-back twisted his right foot awkwardly and went down visibly shaken. Stanisic initially tried to continue the game, as Vincent Kompany had already exhausted all his substitution options. After a few minutes, however, it was clear that he would not be able to continue. In consultation with the coach, the 24-year-old limped off towards the dressing room and FC Bayern had to endure the final minutes outnumbered

Nobody was able to give the all-clear immediately after the game. Kompany explained after the final whistle that he did not yet have an exact diagnosis. However, the twist „didn’t look good“, which is why we now have to wait and see how serious the injury actually is. Hopes are high in Munich that it is only a minor injury and that Stanisic will not be out for longer
The situation is particularly explosive because the personnel situation at the record champions is already tense. Joshua Kimmich was already missing against Wolfsburg due to ankle problems, Alphonso Davies and Sacha Boey due to illness and Minjae Kim because of thigh problems. If Stanisic is also out, the defensive rotation would become even tighter
